Education and Experience
Mrs. Bansen earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and her Masters of Social Work from the University of Georgia. She has been teaching preschool music for 14 years. She has been the music teacher at NHPP for the past 4 years and is the owner of Do Re Mi Music, LLC where she offers group music classes for babies, toddlers and preschoolers in the community. Prior to teaching music, she worked as an oncology social worker at Florida Hospital in Orlando and Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. She has been MusikGarten Certified since 2013. Mrs. Basnen has been a licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2007.
Words of Wisdom
Watching children learn and grow is one of my greatest joys. I love to see their brains process and master new skills. Everyday is a new adventure and children constantly remind me of the beauty of God's creation. A red leaf, a tiny rock, an acorn can all bring joy through the eyes of a toddler.
